OVERVIEW

TAU-18 was the first TAU Racing car to run an aerodynamic package composed by an undertray and diffusor system, which improved the downforce of the vehicle. The team’s aim was to maintain the reliability of TAU-17 by keeping the Triumph 675 Daytona engine whilst developing the vehicle’s powertrain through the implementation of a pneumatic gear shifter which allowed for faster shifting.
